Hi! I’m Holly,
I’m a 30 year old creative from Vegas, living in and growing in Florida! My pronouns are she/her and I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and welcome anyone here. I grew up spending my spring breaks at Disney and was constantly in awe of the detail everywhere. Since then all things Disney inspires me, from the parks and merchandise, to the characters and movies. I love all things nerdy, cute with a twist, makeup and body paint, flowers, skulls, Kawaii, animals, food, and Orlando City! I’ve been drawing since I was about 9 and have a strong memory of always loving everything about colors and the rainbow. As I’ve gotten older I have had the mentality, “oh, I can make that,” and so I try! That mentality slowly inspired me to learn as many mediums as I can.
Most of my acrylic work has been done on canvas and fabric or shoes. This is what I have done for the longest and always have fun blending the colors to match perfectly and seeing how it turns out. Whether it be a landscape or a half skeleton princess.
Growing up I went to a ceramic painting studio with my mom and when I was 18 ended up working there. There are so many fun and cool and fun techniques you can do with underglazes and painting your piece! Some of those techniques I learned there, I have carried over into other mediums as well. One day, I’ll own a kiln and will be able to take this up again!!
Sketching and color pencils have always been around as well. I mean, crayons definitely were the gateway lol. For a couple of years my sketchbook went around with me everywhere. I had a separate purse just for all of my 100 color pencils, pencil sharpener, and erasers. I found myself in Disney resorts just relaxing and drawing and people watching. It was so peaceful.
Digital drawing came when I got my iPad! What a game changer that was. I no longer had to carry around the extra bag for my pencils and other supplies! Just the iPad and my Apple Pencil! It’s been a slow learning process but it is absolutely incredible what you are able to do with this medium. It completely helps my process of drawing in every other medium I use, in some way.
Watercolor is fairly recent to me. I saw a set of watercolor pencils and thought I’d try them out. They were really cool, but I realized I could do more with actual watercolor paint! So I slowly started learning those techniques. Painting with watercolor has been so much fun; you’re able to mix a color and let it dry out. There is no time limit, because it just reactivates with water! 🤯 I am incredibly proud of the portraits I have done with this medium, and am excited to do more!
Tattooing is my newest creative learning adventure. I am currently apprenticing with an insanely talented Yoda, who is teaching me all of her ways. Having prior knowledge of digital drawing and everything else has been super helpful and comforting. Currently I am working on fake skin. I’ll be posting pictures of flash sheets on my socials, and will be taking clients soon!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and my passion for everything creative. I hope we are able to work together in the future! 💜
